Brown Rice
Genmaicha Organic
Introduction: A traditional Japanese favorite. Also known as 'Brown Rice Tea', Genmaicha is blend of Sencha 'steamed green tea' and two varietals of rice. One kind of rice develops a golden color and toasted flavor, whereas, the second varietal of rice used is known as 'Mochi-Gome' and 'pops' into white kernels. The fresh vegetal flavor of the green tea is carefully balanced with the toasted, nutty flavor of the rice. Green tea is known to contain high amounts of anti-oxidants that promote a healthy lifestyle. Low in caffeine. Approved by the Japan Organic and Natural Foods Association (JONA). Green Earl GreyIntroduction: Earl Grey is probably the most well known tea in the west, and perhaps the first scented tea. Its popularity parallels that of Jasmine tea in China, and Chai in India. In making Earl Grey, the leaves are infused with the oil of Bergamot - a Turkish name given to a pear shaped citrus fruit - Citrus Bergamia. In the past, Earl Grey has typically been blended with black teas. Ours is a blend of robust green tea with bergamot. Very aromatic, clear, smooth, and sweet flavor. Refreshing as an iced tea. Jade Flower Organic100% organic
Introduction: From The Tao of Tea "Artisans Series" collection. Chinese tea farmers demonstrate the art of processing tea leaves into different shapes and forms. Also known as ‘Lu Mu Dan’, The leaves for Jade Flower are lightly roasted in a wok giving them a flat appearance. They are then hand-sewn into a beautiful rosette comprising at least 50-70 leaves. A single tea farmer prepares only a limited number of rosettes in one day. When brewed, it is delightful to see the leaves unfurl into a flower shape.
